Windows 10: photos app will not stop serching for new pictures and allow me to upload my videos.

I have tried all the suggestions including uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. Is there any other options to upload video from my android phone onto my windows laptop. Thank you.

To better assist you, we need to clarify your concern:

• Are your photos/videos stored on your iPhone 6, and you are trying to copy (upload) them to your Windows 10 computer?
• Are you using Windows Photos app import feature to get photos/videos from your iPhone?

I had a slightly similar issue and I would like to share what worked for me.

For some reason, I found that the phone has stopped uploading the pictures to OneDrive. After some looking around, I realized that the phone was 'stuck' uploading one photo, while having already queued up all the other photos for uploading. That means, deleting
the stuck photo is not going to solve the problem because the 'uploading' job has already been activated.

Something similar is happening here. The phone has already queued up 'saving' of all the photos. But one photo is stuck. Here is what I did. You can try the same.

• Connect the phone to your PC
• Remove all the pictures (CUT AND PASTE) to your PC. Empty the PICTURES storage on the phone.
  
• Restart the phone after unplugging.
• Check the PHOTOS app to make sure it is empty. If it is not, connect to PC and repeat the steps.
  
• Once it is empty, try taking a picture or screenshot. I am sure it will work.

 

MOVING ALL PICTURES/VIDEOS FROM THE PHOTO APP TO PICTURE FILE

'My Pictures' did show an access denied message, but this was solved. 'My pictures' only had some of the missing pictures in it.

Pictures in question were transferred from an external hard drive when I purchased this computer. The computer had Windows 8 and I updated to Windows 10. The photos have ended up in The Photo App. I need to be able to access all the photos. I have purchased
a new hard drive, can I transfer the photos from the Photo App and transfer them back to the computer so they go to pictures in This PC? HOW?

I have tried to make Windows Photo Viewer my default program but I can't successfully do that. I can view the photos in The Photo App and Windows Media Player.
