Windows 10: photos app wont open in photoshop

WHen I open the photos app and select a photo I want the open to be able to open in photoshop. I have set the defaults for file times to photoshopFrom the photos app I select and image and click on it. I see this:If I click the three dots then I seeIf I click the 'edit photo' button in the top left then I get:whereas I want it in photoshop.I have tried a repair of the app. How do I get it to open in photoshop pleaseThanksEdward aa

Can't Select Photoshop as a Default App

I've just downloaded Photoshop CC2018 and tried to make it the default photo viewer, but it does not appear in the list of apps that I can select from. Have also tried doing the same for opening .jpg files, but just the same, no Photoshop! I have rebooted the system a couple of times but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions?

photo app in windows 10 wont load

my photo app wont open, and I cant uninstall it for it does not come up in the apps list in the settings. But it is in the all apps list.

When I have tried to reinstall it from playstore it says already installed. But wont open, and the new Twinui default photo view app wont open any jpeg files it say "class not registered".

I have followed other suggestions of troubleshooting, and system scan with no results.

Any suggestions?

Need help with getting "Choose a default" to work in Photo Viewer

Hello again. You are correct about that, meaning, I did state I had tried "open with".

Turns out, by simply using "open with" the problem was not solved. By taking the extra step after selecting "open with" and not selecting Photoshop there as one would expect to work, but instead selecting "choose another app" and then selecting Photoshop listed there, the setting held. It's certainly a convoluted way of selecting one's desired photo viewer.
