Windows 10: Photos app won't print JPEG images.

Discus and support Photos app won't print JPEG images. in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I work in IT at a public library.     Photos app won't print JPEG images.


    I work in IT at a public library. Some of our PCs accidently got updated to Windows 11, so we rolled back to 10. But now these PCs cannot print JPEG images anymore, at least not from the default Photos app. I just get an error about printer configuration.

    Has anyone had this issue? I've tried resetting/reinstalling the photos app, setting default file type, reinstalling print driver, etc. Thanks.

    Printing a photo on windows 10

    Hi,

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    You can use Windows Photo App to print the photos in windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key and type Photos.
    • Select the photo.
    • Right click on the photo.
    • Select print option.
    • Then you will be able to print photos.

    Windows 10 Photos app prints images twice

    Hi JenMcC,

    There could be a number of factors as to why you are experiencing issues with Photos app. This could be caused by a software conflict or incorrect printer settings.

    I'd like to know more about your concern. Kindly verify if you are experiencing this issue only when printing photos from Photos app. Have you tried printing from a website or another application? If so, are you experiencing the same issue?

    You can also reset the Photos app. To do this, refer to the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & feature.
    2. Click the Photos app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
    3. Click Reset.

    Let us know how it goes and we'll assist you further if needed.

    Photos app won't print JPEG images.

    Photo app not printing.

    I cannot print images in Windows 10 Photo app. Paint and Paint 3D can print images without a problem. Did a reset of Photo app to no avail. Also went to Feedback Hub and posted problem. In the meantime has anyone had this problem and have a solution?
