Windows 10: Photos disappeared after I changed from Chrome to Edge browser

Any idea how to locate my photos in Windows 10? I have gone to the Photos list and looked for the folders , but only find an empty folder with Camera Roll and another empty folder of Favorites. I have hundreds of photos in my laptop in folders by date. I had no problem accessing them until I decided to give Edge a try and try to work with Windows 10, which I have tried to work around since I got this laptop a couple years ago. I tried to access the photos via the Computer/User/Photos pathway, but apparently my status as administrator now requires a password, which I have no clue.


I've tried a search for jpeg but the search function on Windows 10 seems to be a whole different animal, and only wants to show me websites, not actual files on my computer. I'm hoping my ignorance of 10 is the issue. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Site links not working in Chrome or Edge

Have you tried resetting your browser? If not, we suggest you to do so. To reset Edge, follow these steps:

• 
  Go to
  Browser Settings.
  
• 
  Clear
  Browser Data.
  
• 
  Close the browser and launch it again.
  

If the issue persist, follow these other steps:

• 
  Go to
  Task Manager.
  
• 
  Click on
  MicrosoftedgeCP.exe
  
• 
  End the task.

Windows 10 not allowing to change default browser to google chrome


I recently re-installed windows 10. Have tried every way to change default browser from Edge to Chrome, to no avail. Even changed the default by file type, HTML, Htm, to open with google chrome. Under Apps & Features, google is listed as my browser, but in Default apps-Web browser-choose default, I can click on google chrome till the cows come home and no sale. Very frustrated, have never like Edge. What is my next move? Even Apps by protocol has google chrome listed but it still won't respond.

Running windows 10 - using edge and chrome browsers

Top of browser page disappears so navigation bar is not accessible. I've tried resetting the browser apps and that works for a while, but then the top of the page disappears again. It actually cuts off part of the page as well as the nav bar.
