Windows 10: Photos files on SD card not transferring to PC. They are transferring to One Drive...

Photos files on SD card not transferring to PC/ pictures. They are transferring to One Drive instead, which I do not use and the 5 GB is full. Unable to transfer Nikon RAW photo files even from SD card to external hard drive direct from SD card. What is going on here?

VERY slow transfer of photo from SD card to hard drive

I am in the process of transferring/downloading photos from my SD card (all UHSII fast cards, mostly 300 mb/sec cards) to my hard drive. Some are Sandisk extreme pro and some are Delkin Black SD cards. Most are 128GB cards (a few 64GB). I have two different (new) SD card readers made by Delkin devices (and I have tried the internal SD card reader). The transfer starts out fast but then it slows down drastically (to 5mb/sec) and stays down (which means each card takes HOURS for the ~6000 photos on each card to download).

My husband and the same computer, purchased on the same day, and his transfers are much faster than mine. Same camera/SD cards/computer/card reader.

I typically use downloader pro for transferring but have also tried Adobe Bridge. I have searched and searched and tried many of the suggested fixes but none of them have worked for me and the transfer is soooo slow. I also tried turning off the internet and disabling norton. I have tried different readers and different USB ports (used to use a hub but now using the USBs on the front of the computer).

At this rate it will take me days to download the cards from my recent trip. I have tried downloading to internal SSD drive, external SSD drive and external Western digital hard drive.

My computer is Dell (64GB RAM) running windows 10.

Transferring data from laptop to micro sd card

Hi,

To help you in transferring the files from your PC to your SD card, follow the steps below:

• Connect the micro SD card reader to your computer.
• Plug the micro SD card into the card reader.
• Open the folder that contains files you want to transfer to the SD card.
• Select the files, press and hold "Ctrl" and then, click the files that you want to transfer. Or press "Ctrl + A" to select all the files in the folder.
• Press "Ctrl + C" to copy the files.
• Choose a drive on your SD card and open the folder where you want to store the files.
• Press "Ctrl + V" to paste the files.
• Wait until all files are transferred then, remove the micro SD card from the card reader.

Copy Files from Hard Drive to SD Card - Painfully Slow Transfer

I am in the process of transferring files from my laptop's hard drive to a 256 GB SD card in the laptop's card reader slot. The transfer started quickly but then it slowed down drastically and has stayed down since. I've looked at some similar posts and tried a few of the fixes that worked for others but none of them have worked for me and I'm still transferring at an incredibly slow pace.

I should note that I'm transferring music files from my computer to the SD card. I have about 50 GB that I would like to put on the card but it would take me a week at the rate it's going now.

Anyone have any suggestions?
