Windows 10: Photos have padlock on them and unable to open

Hi,I have an external HD which I have numerous folders with photos in them. I have some folders where it is telling me that I don't have permission to open the photo when I click on it. It is not every folder only certain ones and every photo in the folder has a padlock on it. I have tried changing permissions, I have tried everything I could think of to make the photos unlocked with zero luck. I need help please.Thanks in advance.Grant W

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

Hello,

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

Jpg photo unable to open in windows photo viewer. i reset default apps. i choose default apps by file type.
