Windows 10: Photos is sometimes showing a blank screen upon opening pictures

I updated to feature update 2004 from 1909 and everything seemed to work, but when I tried uploading an image from my browser I got a Intel Optane memory pinning error. I seemed to fix the issue but now sometime when I open photos it's blank like this:

The top buttons are discolored, but I can use the X, Minimize, and resize buttons

Again this doesn't happen all the time, sometimes it happens the first few photos I open, other times I really need to open tons of pics before it messes up. I've went to Microsoft community support, but didn't seem to have much [luck](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ometimes/f47c2d12-58ff-4055-861a-970331cf7207) Everything else on my pc works just fine except this annoying glitch!

Photo thumbnail picture

Hi

File Explorer>Pictures>Open Pictures.

If Your Photos come up as just a List and don't show up as Thumbnails, look at the Two Small Icons at the Bottom Right of the Screen and 'Toggle' between them.

The first one gives you a List View and the other one gives you a Thumbnail View.

Or you could Click: View at the Top of the Screen and then you Can not only see your Photos as Thumbnails but you can also choose the Size.

 

Opening screen picture

You can customize the settings of the lock screen and desktop screen background picture in the Pesonalization page of Settings. You can also change the profile picture that you're seeing on the log-in screen in the Accounts page of Settings. Just to clarify,
are you referring to the desktop screen, the lock screen, or the profile picture of your user account?

To change the background picture of the lock screen, follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Select Personalization.
• On the left pane, choose Lock screen.
• Under Choose your picture, you can select from the default list of photos or you can click on
  Browse if you want to select the photo that you want.

You can change the background picture of the desktop by following the same steps above but instead of choosing lock screen, select
Background.

You can replace the profile picture of your user account by doing these steps:

• Click the Windows logo (Start button).
• Click the gear icon (Settings).
• Select Accounts.
• On the left pane, choose Your info.
• Under Create your picture, choose Browse for one to see choose the profile photo that you want.

Found this is the easier way: the blue area marked organize/new folder way to right u 3 icons box w/down arrow(STOP, here to choose what size pic u want, done, over), 3 paned window , blue ?!!!
