Windows 10: Photos keep opening in "print pictures" app instead of the photos app even though it's set...

Hi everyone, Right after installing Windows 11, every time I search up a photo on my computer, instead of opening in the Photos App, it opens in "Print Pictures." Photos is set as the default app for opening image files too. I have no idea why this is happening, as it opens in Photos if I actually go find it in File Explorer and double click on it, but that is kind of inconvenient. I have restarted my computer but the issue is still the same so I'm not sure what to do next.Any answers appreciated!

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

Did you check your System Restore points to see if there is one dated before the problem began?

As I wrote, System Restore is your first line of defense if Windows ever malfunctions as it can run even from recovery media to get you back before a problem started like a time machine. It should always be turned on C drive with plenty of disk space (5-15%) configured. The Print Pictures preview is not supposed to open as default for Photos app. Make sure in Settings > Apps > Default Apps that Photos app is set as default for your picture viewer.

Then in Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Choose default by file type, check some of the pictures file types you're trying to open to make sure these are also set to open with Photos app.

If it can't be changed here then there is a bug. Continue with Steps 6 and 7 I gave in my first post to find and fix System problems.
