Windows 10: Photos keeps taking me to Collections when I don't want to?

Hi. First time poster here. Recently I've been having this issue with the Photos app on my Surface Mini laptop. Every time I click on a photo on my desktop, minimize it for a bit to do something else, and then reopen it, I am taken to this thing called Collections. I have never seen Collections before and I didn't even know it existed. It's irksome and I want it to stop, because I have no reason to use it. There's no reason for the Photos app to even take me there, either. It happens every single time and I don't know why. I have been signed out of my OneDrive for a while now, but I don't thin

How to delete photos from collections, but keep in albums

If I delete photos from my collection, they are also deleted in their album. Can you delete collection photos and keep them in an album. Takes up more storage.

Thanks, have heard this before...is their a step by step procedure to OC using the bios settings you suggest.
i don’t intend pushing this to its limit...but some increase would be great, any suggestions on a good air cooler ?

I suggest you to perform the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Open Photos app.

2. Click on Collections.

3. Then right click on the unwanted pictures in the list and click on
Delete.

Also click on Folder option in Photo app and check the file location of the pictures.
