Windows 10: Photos Legacy Stuck at "Looking for new photos and videos".

Photos Legacy Stuck at "Looking for new photos and videos".I had connected my phone and my laptop using a USB-C cable to import images from my phone to my laptop. After plug in I launched the Photos Legacy app and started importing images to my laptop. The app did found 1000+ images and videos but keep stuck at the page "Looking for new videos and photos". I've tried pressing cancel but it's isn't functioning.I have tried repairing, resetting, un-installing and reinstalling the app but the problem still exist. Does anyone had a solution for this?

Photos app keeps getting stuck on the screen "looking for new photos and videos"

When I go to import photos to my computer from my iPhone, it gets stuck on the screen the says "looking for new photos and videos". It says that it has found over 5000 photos/videos, but it just give me any option to import.

 

why does Photos Legacy open with the same desktop as Photos?

According to Microsoft Support, Photos Legacy is the app for Microsoft’s Legacy Collections, Albums, and Video Editor. It is not the same as the old version of Photos that you are looking for. Photos Legacy has a similar interface and functionality as the new Photos app, but it allows you to access your legacy collections and albums that were created in the previous version of Photos.

Unfortunately, there is no official way to revert back to the old version of Photos that you are used to. Microsoft has introduced a new version of Photos that offers enhanced capabilities for managing and editing your photos, such as Memories, Filmstrip, Multi-view, and Enhanced navigation. However, some features are different or not available in the new version, such as Albums, Video Editor, Group Photos by Faces, and Search by Tags.

I'm sorry to say that you will have to adapt to the new Photos app. You can also share your feedback with Microsoft through the feedback option in Photos settings.
