Windows 10: Photos Legacy Video Editor opens a black window and crashes. How to fix?

I am using Windows 11. Almost every time I try to use the Photos Legacy video editor I get this error where it freezes for about a second and then the screen goes all black for a second and them comes back with a black window on the side. I can fix this by using ctrl+alt+del to lock the screen then log back in but photos legacy has to be closed and reopened to work again. This has been going on for the past month and it has become a big pain for me to edit anything. Sometimes it happens when I open the video editor and other time it happens when I am doing other things like using the split tim

Photos app / Video editor app crashes when open

When i open my photos app or the default video editor, it just waits for a couple of seconds the windows turns black and crashes.

I have tried everything: reseting the app, using the troubleshooter,reinstalling the app

Could somebody help me with this?

photo editor and video editor

Please suggest me a very good video editor and a photo editor (although inbuilt photo editing is there but still if there is any better) for my nokia 808 pureview white and from where i can download these and install in my mobile.
