Windows 10: Photos Live Tile isn't working anymore

What I tried:

• deleting every Tile* file and adding them back;
• removing every Tile* from favorites and adding them back the app tile should be showing favorite pictures;
• changing the setting mentioned above from Favorites to Recent photos;
• turning Live Tile off and on;
• resizing the tile;
• checking for Photos updates current version is 2020.20100.21005.0;
• unpinning and pinning the tile;
• repairing Microsoft Photos;
• resetting Microsoft Photos;
• running Windows Store Apps troubleshooter;
• restarting Windows Explorer;
• restarting the laptop;
• sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt.

Of course, none of these have had any effect.

Photos Live Tile was working fine until two days ago. Don't know what triggered the issue, but Start was open when it happened: I remember the Live Tile doing that rolling animation, which reset the tile to its default look the one you see in the first screenshot.

I managed to make it show a single picture by enabling the Single photo 'mode' temporarily before going back toFavorites. Then, even though %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\PhotosAppTile contains four photos, namelyTile0, Tile1, Tile2, Tile3, only Tile0 is displayed and obviously the Live Tile has no animations.

photos live tile not cycling

I have a Nokia Lumia 635 and for some reason my photos live tile only shows one photo, it doesn't cycle at all anymore. I put the photos I wanted on the tile in the favorites section, and I pinned the photos app tile itself to the start screen, not the
favorites page. However I tried both and neither one of them cycles. Any suggestions?

 

Live tiles not updating anymore

I've a Nokia Lumia 920 (AT&T) and i've been using this for 5months +.

I've few apps that are pinned to the start screen with 'live tiles'. My Stocks Portfolio, Amazing Weather HD, CNN. Last week i noticed that these apps stopped updating the tiles even though they're listed under the approved apps for background tasks.

I've re-installed some of these apps but it never updates the tile anymore.
