Windows 10: photos/Movies & TV app can not scroll left or right

Hi there,


My laptop is fairly new bought it from Dell Dec 2020 has not many apps installed. it was running as usual but start from yesterday, i can not scroll left or right when I using the photos app and Movies&TV app. There is no arrow signs on both side. The folder has normal jpag pictures in there, about 20 of them. They were working just fine the day before.


However, when i plug in my external hard drive or SD card, i can easily open one picture or clip within and scroll left or right with no problem. But when i copy the folder to my laptop, the apps stopped working.


the only solution right now is to select all pics in the folder and press enter, then i can scroll but this very annoying.


I have tried set default/unset, add registry value, uninstall the apps through powershell, reset the app in control panel, everything is updated to the latest version, and make me think this might not be problem with the app? i also tried look into access right and im the only user of the computer, all users has the same right to the local folder.


pretty helpless here, has been try to fix it for a whole day now...

Movies & TV app not working properly.

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

Movies & TV app crashes.

It happens when I try to open Movies & TV app and also when I doubleclick on a movie file. When I doubleclick on a movie file it shows an error message "The app didn't start".

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app (as I did with the Photos app which then worked), but this does not work with the Movies & TV app
