Windows 10: Photoshop 7

How to make Photoshop 7 to work on Windows 10?

Photoshop 7

I'm a photographer and I use Photoshop 7. I'm constantly on the go, so last year I purchased a 2-in-1 tablet that uses Windows 8.1. Photoshop 7 works fine in Windows 8.1, but I am concerned that if I upgrade to Window 10 (Home) my Photoshop 7 version will
not work.

Please advise.

 

What version of Photoshop is compatible with Microsoft 10

Photoshop version CS4 and later are known to work. I have used Photoshop 7 also.

 

Your System Specs is missing critical information. Do you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows? I have seen issues installing older software on the 64-bit version when it was published as only 32-bit. The 64-bit version of Windows can run a lot of 32-bit software but issues can occur depending upon what the programs do.

What I do is open File Explorer, right-click This PC in the left column and choose Properties. There's other ways but I seem to always have File Explorer open anyway.

What problem are you having? I have Photoshop 7 running on 64-bit with no issues.

 

My problem is: After editing picture and trying to save I got message: " Could not complete your request because of program error".
Even I've reinstalled Photoshop twice ( from original CD) - same result.
On my laptop with Windows 7 there are NO problem

 

Alusha not sure what to suggest. I didn't do anything special when installing version 7.0 and have not had any issues. Wonder if you might try running in compatibility mode.

 

Are you getting any error code?? If so post it and that might help someone give you advice on how to deal with it.

No error code. Just what small box with text what I've quoted.

 

Looks to be pretty common error with multiple causes. Could not complete your request because of program error - Google Search

 

My guess is: since Photoshop old (ver. 7) the issue of compatibility with windows 10.
