Windows 10: Picture in picture stutters for me after recent win 10 update

I recently updated both my gfx card drivers and win 10. afterwards when i am watching youtube vids while gaming the youtube vid will stutter horribly, seemingly at around 20fps. thinking this was the gfx driver i rolled back to two separate previous versions, and since that didnt resolve the issue i am now pretty sure it was the win update.

however, searched for win 10 update issues, and other variations, and i got waaaaay to many results to be able to make sense of, or sift through, em all.

so i figured i would post here and see if anyone experienced and solved the same issue.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Pictures in Windows 10

Apologize for the late reply.

Are you able to find other files and folders on Windows 10?

I suggest you to have a look for Windows 8.1 pictures in Windows.old folder.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + E keys to open Windows explorer
• Press C:\ Drive
• under C: drive look for Windows.old folder
• open users under Windows.old

Try the search for pictures in here.

saving pictures to your picture file on win. 10

Is there a glitch in Win. 10 that will not let you save a picture to your picture folder like you could with win. 7? I get this message : You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like
to save in the Pictures folder instead? If you click yes your picture is still not saved in your picture folder.

I am the only one that has ever worked on this computer. I should be the administrator. Win. 7 worked logically. You could easily save pictures to your picture folder without any problems like this.

PS according to the user account screen I am listed as the administrator.
