Windows 10: Pictures only viewable in small icon mode.

Some 20 years ago, I took pictures on a digital camera. Most of the them turned out fine, but when transferring to my PC, about a dozen replaced the picture with a gray screen when moving from a small icon to med or large. I recently came across those pics and transferred them onto my Win 11 PC. The same thing is happening: when a small icon, all of the picture is viewable. As soon as I make the icon any larger, I lose the picture. Can you help?

How can I preview my pictures with real picture small icon instead of blue standard window display icon?

 

Small icons setting won't change

I suggest that you change or uncheck Use small taskbar buttons by following the steps below:

• Right-click the Taskbar.
• Select Properties.
• In the Taskbar tab make sure that Use small taskbar is
  uncheck.
  
  
  
  
• Click Apply and OK.

If the issue still persists, you can change the size of desktop icons.

• Right-click an empty space on the desktop.
• Select View and choose either Large, Medium or Small icons.
• Check if you can change the size of the taskbar button.

Hi

I have Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 13 with a high resolution of 3200 * 1800.

When I manage my Pictures the icon size of the Pictures is way to small.

The "Extra lagre icons" setting displays the icons in the same size as "Large icons".

Is there some way to fix the "extra large icons" setting to work?
