I have an issue where pictures stored on a local, physical server size 2-6mb take 10-15 seconds to open on Client PC's.Environment: Server is a Dell PowerEdge R640, Intel Xeon Silver 4214R, 49152MB RAM, 1.7TB in a RAID. They have one gigabyte switch for their office in which the server and PC's all connect to. PCs are all brand new as of 3 months ago. They are all in a domain. Troubleshooting so far:-Rebooted the switch with no effect. -Performed the following steps to turn off thumbnail's in group policy, this had no effect:Go to the following Group Policy section User Configuration -&

    Hearthstone open beta

    ... is now open!

No wait, that's not the word.

    The word is ASS.

Step 1. Download the client installer.

Step 2. The installer connects to the server, or at least tries to, overnight during which it just stops several times.

Step 3. Realize the installer is for the Battle.net unified launcher, and not Hearthstone as such.

Step 4. Install the Battle.net unified launcher. This may take a few hours, even after it's been downloaded as such, it's still just slow.

Step 4. Install Hearthstone. Wait for the app to crash a couple of times, wait for it to verify various stuff, then wait for the download to start.

Step 5. Wait for the download to finish. It is pretty quick actually, unless it just crashes.

    Step 6. ASS

And no, I still have no compassion for the people bitching about EA servers.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

    Hearthstone open beta

It's in BETA, everyone else is probably bombarding their servers, and this is a wonderful stress test for them. They don't really owe you a flawless experience due to it being in beta. Also the game kinda sucks. All the top decks use the same 14-16 cards, regardless of what class you play as.
