Windows 10: Piin Credentials "could not be verified" All attempts to reset password fail msg...

Interestingly, if I tried a pin I us on a different computer, the error message indicated that the pin was wrongWhen I try to reset the pin I get nowhere: "Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available status:0xc000006d, substatus: 0xc0070005. Click to set up your pin again" I've repeated many times with restarts, shutdowns, et... but no success. I've tried restarting using safe mode, restored

Verify Credentials with No Password


So, I have forgotten a password but it's saved in Windows 10. I can go to web credentials and see it there, but when I hit the 'show' button, it asks me to verify my credentials to see the password. I do not have a password on my local account on Windows 10, so I'm not sure what it wants me to enter to verify my credentials.

I learned how to reset my Windows 10 password using the one-time code just before I received your reply. It works. But that did not solve another problem. I go to the Control Panel and click on "Credential Manager". I open up the list of passwords. When
I click on one, a screen comes up that says "Please verify your credentials". A little box has the word "password" in it. My Windows 10 password does not work. When I put it in, the same box comes up again. There must be a different password for that. How
can I find it?
