Windows 10: PIN broke after Windows update

I ran an update about 4 days ago. When rebooting my machine, I was greeted with this instead of the prompt to input my PIN, "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again."I give Windows all my info and use a one time code to log back in. It prompts me to reset my PIN. However, when I try to reset my PIN, it says, "Something went wrong. We weren't able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set it up later".So I'm in a position where the PIN function is bugged, and every time I reset my machine, I need to use a recovery code emailed to me

Method 1: Try updating the Video card drivers and check if it helps.



Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Video card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Method 2: Try installing the game in Compatibility mode and check.



Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Right click the Game setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
• Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
• Try installing the Game and check.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the suggestion provided by crazzilla replied on August 3, 2015 from the below link and check if it helps.

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

• Type the word pin in the search box and select
  Set up PIN sign-in.

  Enter the password for your user account, then click the
