PIN-code not working and no user account existing

    Hello community.

I have Windows 10 installed with Insider version 14332. I cannot access any account settings or change credentials such as password or enter a PIN code. When I want to login with my PIN-code it says "Object not found".

I would like to have some help with this issue. I have re-installed Windows 10 and with no Insider version installed, everything works perfectly. As soon as I install Insider version, the same issue is back.

Where it says "User Accounts" I cannot click on neither "User Accounts", "Change account type" or "Remove Account" in the old control panel. I just click and nothing happens.

If I click on "Login alternatives" in the new control panel, it keeps loading with those little moving dots and nothing happens... It keeps loading.

    Please see attached pictures.

I'm sorry for the Swedish language but I hope you understand since it's the same interface =)

    thanks

    :)

Remotely disable pin code Windows 10

A Windows 10 user logs into a PC using the Microsoft-account and uses the PC. The user enables pin code access, so it is now possible to log in to that PC using just the pin.

The pin is then compromised and the PC physically no longer accessible to the original user.

How can the user make it impossible for an evil user with access to the laptop and knowledge of the compromised pin?

Here is what we already tried (helping a friend):

    - Changed the password on the Microsoft account. Did not prevent the login with pin-code (testing on another laptop)

    - Went to Microsoft Account and removed the device in question from "your devices". It was still possible to log in with the pin code on the test-laptop.

Is it really possible, that after enabling the pin code logon, if the pin code is compromised, you cannot prevent an evil user from using your account on that laptop?

    If not, what to do?

    Remember:

    - No physical access to PC any longer

    - Password already reset

    - Already tried removing it from "your devices" Sign in to your Microsoft account

    Thanks in advance

    / Lib

Windows 10 Home version 1709 (16299.192): Lock screen option has disappeared

    Hi Dennis,

I have not yet set up a new user profile. This is a bit troublesome since the users are linked to Microsoft accounts so I can't set up two logins for the same account. Additionally, if the user profile is corrupted I would assume that Mohammed AliAli's suggestion
would simply copy the corruption from the one login to the other?

In terms of possible "corruption", I find the same issue exists on all the logins on the PC. Some of these logins had local PIN login. For these I found that an attempt to login to the PC with a PIN would show an error. It started "Something went wrong"
and included the code 0x8009002d. Logging in with a password worked, and resetting the PIN re-enabled PIN login.

Could this be the underlying cause? Is there a solution without having to re-create the logins?

  4. PIN-code not working and no user account existing

I have the exact same issue. It seems that the majority of users do not have this problem as I managed to find only a few threads concerning this matter. I'm sure many would suggest a reset or a fresh install at this point but as it would seem that this isn't a case of a corrupted user account or problem with the registry (tried a couple fixes found on the Net concerning corrupted user account to no avail), I'm hopeful someone either finds a solution or MS releases a preview version without this problem.

For what it's worth, I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit using the current Insider Preview version. I'm activated although I am using Windows without an installation disc or anything like that as, back in the day, I fresh installed the pre-release version of Windows 10 (which you got for free if you were an Insider) and have been updating it ever since.
