Windows 10: Pin complexity group policy is completely ignored. Obsolete

Pin complexity group policy doesn't work. This is set to 4 digits minimum with a domain policy and suddenly it stopped working. I tried to set the local policy to 4 digits also just in case. No result. Now it always asks for 6 digits. Even if I set the policy to 8 digits minimum, it still asks for 6 digits. So, this policy is completely ignored. Is this policy obsolete now? Domain Controller: Server 2022 Standard 21H2 20348.1607; Computer: Windows 11 22H2 22621.1413

Disable Windows 10 Pro PIN complexity rules

Hello,

Enabling or disabling and configuring the PIN complexity rules in Windows is found through
Local Group Policy Editor. If you are running Windows 10 Creators Update, PIN complexity policies can be found by opening the
Group Policy Editor, then selecting Computer Configuration
> Administrative Templates > System >
PIN complexity. From there, you may select or configure the PIN complexity for your device.

Cannot change PIN complexity or PIN storage

Hello, Microsoft community!

I've been having this problem for quite a while now. I've been surfing the web to try and find answers and none have worked. My computer makes me change my pin every 42 days, requires a pin of 6 digits, and will not let me use a previous PIN. I have tried using registry editor, system configuration, standard windows settings, and group policy editor, all for none to change it. I even in group policy editor, changed the PIN complexity from "Not Configured" to a pin complexity of 4 just to see if this would help my problem, but no dice. I'm looking for any way to change my pin complexity and expiration except reset my PC. Looking forward to hearing from the community, and thanks in advance!

 

Windows Pin complexity

I have 1 new Windows 10 pro laptop that requires a 6 digit pin complexity. All other Win 10 devices only require 4 digits. I have tried changing the group policy locally on the laptop to 4 digits but I get a message your pin doesn't meet the required complexity when i try and set the 4 digit code.
