Windows 10: Pin for Microsoft

When I sign on to my Windows 10 Desktop and Windows 11 Laptop it let's me get in. Then a Microsoft window appears occasionally and asks for my pin. I enter the pin that I use for my computer but it won't accept that. Fortunately it let's me cancel out of it. Why is it doing this? What pin is it looking for? My password is not a pin, it's too long and not all numbers.

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.
