Windows 10: PIN Lockout

Hello, I forgot the pin to my PC after a forced reset and can’t log back in to change it. I have tried the reset pin option several times and I get an error message and to retry but it never works. It still somehow logs me in and that’s how I’ve been using my PC for a while. However, now there is no option to reset pin and only allows retries after a restart so I can’t login or attempt to reset the pin anymore. Please help

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Does anybody know how to clear the "Pin suggested" list on the "People bar"?

Contacts are added to the "Pin suggested" list once you've pinned and unpinned them. But there seems to be no obvious way to remove them from that list.

After playing around with this feature and pinning and unpinning many dummy contacts, it's rather annoying to see them in the "Pin suggested" list when you click on the "My People" icon in the taskbar.

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.

Windows phone pin lockout

You may try one of the following:

• Try removing the SD (you may have to power off/on the device) to see if the lock has been removed.
  
• You may also try to
  hard reset the phone (but this will delete all your contacts, photos, downloads, accounts etc.)
• Try unlocking your Windows phone remotely by login in to the PC. The key is to reset your PIN through
  account.microsoft.com. If you use remote unlock, your logon PIN will be protected by Windows instead of your device's security system.

• Sign in to
  account.microsoft.com/devices.
• Find the phone you want to lock remotely in the list, and the select
  Find my phone.
• Select Lock.
• Enter a new PIN, and then select Lock. You'll now be able to unlock your phone with a new PIN.

To go back to having your logon PIN protected by your device’s security system, make sure the device has been on for at least 2 hours. Go to
Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and select
I forgot my PIN. Enter your Microsoft account info, verify your identity, and set the PIN for the device.
