    PIN no longer available and also no administrator password to fix. What should i do?


    I’m experiencing an error, it says “Something happened and your PIN is no longer avaliable” I tried to fix this in safe mode however it requires my password even resetting my laptop requires the password as well. The problem is that i tired all the passwords i would ever use and it says it’s incorrect. Other than that, i tried resetting the password and retrying but it didn’t work.

    Pin is no longer available and there's no password option

    I just set up a new Surface Laptop but my pin is "no longer available" and I don't have a prompt to put in my password instead. Is there a fix?

    Do you see a link for Sign In Options at the bottom of the Sign-in Screen. Choose that and select the key or password choice, use password to sign in.

    Password option no longer available, PIN was never set, unable to sign in

    Pls try the steps listed under the section "Enable the Password sign-in option" in this article (ignore the article's title).
