Windows 10: Pin not accepted to log into laptop and email code is not sent

I am attempting to log into my laptop through windows. The windows account comes up, requests my pin, and claims it is incorrect. after 3 more tries I click the "I forgot my Pin" option and it says it will send it to my email, I click the send button, I am taken to the page to input the code. Then nothing shows up in my gmail. I verified in my Microsoft account the email is correct and it sends my Microsoft login verification to my backup and it promptly arrived. I have shut down and restarted my laptop several times and nothing seems to work. What can I do? This is my laptop that I use for wo

No PIN emails being sent

I am trying to set up a new Desktop PC. For some reason it asks for a PIN to log in. I've no recollection of setting up a PIN and when I ask for a code to be sent to my blueyonder email address nothing arrives. The emails are not in Virgin Media's spam folder nor in my local one. I've no idea why Microsoft thinks I want a password in the first place, so, 1. how do I get Microsoft to send the emails and 2. how do I disable the login security, it's entirely unnecessary.

 

Windows 10 won't accept my pin

While trying to get rid of an error code so I could do a system repair I followed directions to put my laptop into safe mode....got to the second step where you have to restart your laptop and when it restarted and brought me to sign in screen it won't
accept my pin or Microsoft sign in.....I'm totally locked out of my laptop....any suggestions?

 

Why does my PIN code refuse to be accepted?

I've recently re-downloaded Minecraft for the first time in a while, on a new computer. As such, I have to log in and connect my Microsoft account. On every attempt, it allows my email, accepts my password, and then asks for my Windows Hello PIN code - and then refuses, saying the PIN code is incorrect. I know it is not. I have now tried resetting my PIN code 3 times, waiting time and restarting my computer, and still the new PIN codes - which are accepted to login to my computer - refuse to be accepted for the Minecraft login popup. This is also true for attempts to sign into the XBox game centre on the computer here. I have even gone through the process of resetting a PIN code from 'forgotten', to no avail. I do not know what else to do.
