Windows 10: PIN not available and can't change?

Hi,Windows 11.I turned on my daughter's laptop and was presented with a message informing me that the PIN wasn't available and to click "Set up my PIN". When I click this, it generates a window advising me to search for an app in the store, when I click "Yes", it just returns me to the login screen again.After 30 seconds, an explorer.exe error message appears, with an OK box, I press that and just return to the login screen again,I tried to do a hard reset, by pressing F10 and accessing advanced options, I tried to reinstall or roll back to Version 10 Windows, but it said it couldn't perform.I

Pin Login not available and can't change or remove my pin

Hi Saschavan,

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

PIN at start up

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Change button.
  
• 
  Enter your Windows password, then click the
  Ok button.
