Windows 10: Pin not working + Microsoft account down

I have a Thinkpad X1 and have never had any trouble with it. This past week my computer updated over night and the next morning when I tried to log in it said I couldn’t use my Face ID and that I must use my Pin. I typed in my pin and it popped up with Error code 0xd0000225. I tried logging in with my password to my Microsoft account but it said incorrect password. After this I went on my phone to Authenticator and logged in with that same password meaning I had the correct password, but also that account is grey on the Authenticator app. I still get emails through that account so I don’t kn

We appreciate the screenshot that you provided. to start troubleshooting the issue with you logins, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how login pin goes back to password:

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

• How are you trying to change the password?
• Have you logged in to your account and trying to set the PIN?

I would suggest you to switch to child account and then try to set a 4 digit PIN from here and check if it works.

I am using the Microsoft account page under family members. In this section where it shows my Grand Daughters Account details there is no option to have a Pin Code, However on my page, as Administrator, I can create a Pin.
