Windows 10: PIN option disappeared overnight, requiring connection with business/school account I never...

On my personal account I had used PIN login for a year now and overnight the PIN function was disabled.When I try to reenable it, it requires for me to login through an work or school account which I never connected.I checked Accounts > Access work or school and I have no other accounts linked.I have tried deleting the NGC folder but still requires me to go through an work/school account.When I do eventually try tying in a school account, I get error code 0x80072f8f "Something went wrong"

Connected School Account

I was at a university last year and transferred at the beginning this past august. However I am still having issues fully removing all the nonsense. I had connected my school account to windows to make everything easier, but it also made me do stuff like change my login pin to 6 digits. I have obviously since removed that account in settings, but I still get notifications every month that "your account administrators require you to change your pin". Any suggestions on how to fully remove this? And if you are wondering, i have not connected my new school account to windows so you can rule that out. I just have my personal account logged in. And also, before I connected that school account I never had anything like that happen. Who knows what other stuff this account is doing in the background but I would like to get rid of it.

 

Connected School Account

That would mean the school account is no longer active on your system.

All you need to do is remove the currently set pin and then set it again, (this removes the policy that is currently set)

go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options (just above Access work or school), select Windows Hello PIN, then click Remove. You will be required to enter your Microsoft account password to confirm. After that, add the pin option again.

 

School still requiring login changes after disconnecting on my PC

This has been going on for a bit now, and I'm finally getting so fed up with having to brainstorm new pins every 3 months. I initially added my school live account in hopes it would make working between home and school easier. After a while, I found it so
annoying the issues outweighed the benefits, mainly in the fact I was running out of logins I could easily remember. For some reason, the policy for non-school PC is triple how often you need to reset a school-owned one. Anyways, I disconnected, yet I still
have the organizational restrictions on my login and consistently have to change everything but my fingerprint, which doesn't always work. Here are the repo steps...

1. Settings -> Accounts -> Access work or school.
2. Click the profile you wish to disconnect and select "Disconnect".
3. A) Wait for a month or two until it requires pin reset.
   
   B) Go to Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options and click pin or password. Below it will give you a list of organizational restrictions and hold you to them when creating the pin.

I can live without a fix, but personally i want my school of my laptop since I won't be going there soon anyways.
