Windows 10: PIN Reset without the original PIN #?

My 12-year-old disabled Discovery Networks and cannot connect to our Wi-Fi. As the administrator, I need to login and enable the networks. I haven't had to login in so long that I forgot my PIN. When I attempt to reset my PIN, it asks for the original and I am stuck in a never-ending PIN Spiral of Doom. Help a mother out! How can I reset it without the original number? I also tried connecting it to my phone, but it says I do not have a passkey

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.

Unable to reset pin

Trying to reset Microsoft PIN, when trying the steps in settings, forgot pin, try to reset, screen message wait a moment then does nothing. How can I get the pin reset?

• Which build and version of Windows 10 are you using before reinstalling Windows?
• Have you tried resetting your PIN?
• Did you get any error messages after you verified the PIN you entered?
