Windows 10: Pin timeout due to “repeated shutdowns” makes it impossible to sign in to my machine

I’m incredibly confused by this windows 11 login bug.I’m stuck in an endless loop to login to my windows 11 machine. I would login with my pin, but get the message:“This sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign-in option or keep your device powered on for at least 2 hours and then try again.”So I then try my face login and get the message:“Your PIN is required to sign in”.What am I supposed to do? I need to access my machine now, not in 2 hours!!!Please help. This is a ridiculous situation.

Surface won't accept Pin - "This sign in option is disabled because of failed sign in attempts or repeated shutdowns."

I have the same problem, in that my Microsoft Surface will not accept my PIN login since the last update (? about 2 weeks ago). I get the error message " this sign in option is disabled because of failed sign in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different
sign in option or keep your device powered on for at least two hours and then try again". I have done this without success.

I have now tried the solution above you gave, but this has not worked either. Please advise.

Remove sign in pin

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.

not able to sign-in to my windows 11 laptop. PIN sign-in option is disabled because of failed sing-in attempts or repeated shutdowns

1. I am not able to sign-in to my windows 11 laptop. (acer Nitro)
   
2. When I start my laptop, then I get "you have entered incorrect pin several times, To try again, enter A1B2C3",
   
3. after entering A1B2C3, I get screen to enter PIN,
   
4. but as soon as I enter my PIN, it leads to another screen saying
   
   "This sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign-in options, or keep your device powered on for at least 2 hours and then try again."
   
5. Then I have kept the laptop powered on for 5-7 hours multiple times, still it does not recover.
   
6. So I am not able to sign-in to my laptop for last 3 days.
   

Not finding any Solution to this after searching a lot on internet.

Can you please help me getting access to my laptop as soon as possible?
