Windows 10: PIN to sign into Admin account on Windows 10 is not working, can't change it. How can I...

Hello. I cannot get into my Admin account on my PC. My Windows Hello PIN is not working although I never changed it. My OS is Windows 10 Home Edition version 20H2. It gives me no other option to sign in. I have another account on my PC a limited non-Admin account for which the Hello PIN is working. How can I get into my Admin account where all of my important docs are saved and not yet backed up? Any advice?

How to change admin user account name?

ah so main admin account is 'wizzle' which is what I am currently on
I make another account called 'wizzle2' (with admin rights)
I sign out of 'wizzle' and sign into 'wizzle2'.
And once signed into 'wizzle2', then I do the command prompt step and find the SID for 'wizzle' that is listed and go from there?

 

Mail app only working when signed in under Admin account


Upgraded from Windows 7 about two months ago, but this just started a few days ago.
Tried to read my email and found that I could not use the mail app when signed in under my User account. (previously worked fine.)
If I sign in under my Admin account, the mail app works normally.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the mail/calendar app, and now I don't even have the icons to launch them- not even listed on the start menu, except when using the Admin account.
Is there another way to launch or repair the app?
Any suggested fixes?
Don't want to keep having to sign in as Admin just to read my email.

Hi Jefferson,
Sign-in PIN works only on a Local Account. When you switch to Microsoft account PIN becomes unavailable. This is a known issue.


Since Windows 10 Technical preview is a testing environment changes are being made based on the feedback we receive. Please wait for the next update from Windows to fix the issue.
Refer the steps mentioned by 'Nathan Roberts (SunkNath)' in the article provided.

Please check to see if it is the mail address you have used to register up to the Feedback service for Windows is the same that is showing in the PC settings.
