  1. Pin Unavailable; Can't Sign In

I just used the BitLocker recovery key due to the missing TPM issue that has been going around. That worked fine, but when I went to log in to my computer once the normal lock screen appeared, it said that the PIN was not available. It gives an option to sign in to my Microsoft account, but when I click it it says that I am not connected to the internet. The lock screen lets you connect to Wi-Fi without being logged in, and it showed that I am indeed connected. Other devices on the same network can access the intermet just fine. What should I try next?

    :)

    Win10/HP Pavillion - PIN "unavailable"

Using Win10 on an HP Pavillion Gaming Laptop

PIN went away. Now when I go into create a PIN I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". The step prior is: Start.>Settings>Accounts>Sign in Options>Windows Hello PIN and it reads "This options is currently unavailable - click to learn more". I
followed the steps suggested, but they don't work

    Suggestions?.

    Hi Joel,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

    • In the search box type sign-in-option.
    • Click on the sign-in-option.
    • Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
    • There you can remove the option and check.
Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.

  4. Pin Unavailable; Can't Sign In

PIN unavailable at sign in poor guidance

Louie_101 provided guidance that if you get a PIN unavailable message at sign-in (which prevents you from even getting into your computer) that you should go through multiple steps that require you to have access to your computer? The screen says click to set up your PIN again but I end up in the same place.

Please remove these errant instructions and provide some proper guidance.
