Windows 10: Pin Won't Set

hi! i've been stumped with this issue for a while but for some reason my computer has recently removed my pin for no reason - i'm not sure what caused it to do so, but now every time i attempt to log into my windows account it doesn't allow me to do so unless i receive a code from the admin of this pc. i've attempted to press the set up pin a numerous amount of times, however, this has only happened to bring up a popup for a split second then the popup is nowhere to be seen! this is really frustrating, and i'm not sure what to do. overall: every time i attempt to create a pin for my windows ac

cortana won`t talk to me

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue and to provide you better assistance.

• Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
• Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
• Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
• Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.

Cannot set up PIN after Creators Update

In this case, we recommend to repair and set up a new PIN by doing the following steps:

• Open File Explorer and browser to this location:
  

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

• Delete everything within that folder. You must be logged in as the Administrator to do this.
• Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options.
• Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN.
• PIN sign in should work moving forward.
