Windows 10: Pincode to windows hello 4 digits password

I have problems with windows hello. I had 4 digit password before. One day when I turned on my computer it asked me to switch it to 6 digit. I did so because I could not move on. Now I am in the situation that I tried to change it back BUT! I can not .. I can not press any of the windows hello options at all. If I switch to Local account and associate my microsoft account, I get the option to create a 6 digit password. I just can not get 4 digit more .. In the yellow thing it says ''Something went wrong. Please try again later''. Same with other window hello options.




I have tried it with the NGC folder as well. I did not have it before so created one. The rebooted PC still cannot get into it.

Have Windows ask for password or pincode at startup

Not sure if this goes here or in User Accounts etc. but it´s system security, so.

I want my computer to ask for my pincode every time I start it up and when it comes out of Sleep or Screensaver. When I Google this question I get 10 million hits on how to DISABLE the login password, but I need it ENABLED.

But for some reason Windows wont let me.

I can set a windows password or pincode in Settings- Login, but when I restart the PC it goes straight to desktop, skipping the login-screen.

• Do let us know what exactly happens when you try to access the 4-digit PIN on your device?
• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

If you are not comfort to enter long letters of password, you
may also create the 4 digit PIN which will reduce your time to enter full password.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + I keys to open
  settings menu.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• Click on Add under PIN.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
• Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.

NOTE: Make sure that your device is connected to internet connection.
