    Ping randomly spikes and causes everything to stop working


    Recently in the pas few days, out of nowhere, everything on my PC has started having moments where anything I'm using just stops working.

    I'll be in a Discord call, and suddenly my ping spikes to 5000. Even if I leave the call, it says I'm still in there and won't let me join again for a few minutes. Games I'm playing (usually online) will cause me to disconnect, and websites won't load or refresh.

    It happens at least once a day, and it never says my internet goes out or anything. Has anyone else experienced this before? How can I fix this?

    Random Ping Spikes

    As of two days ago, I have been getting random ping spikes. I have done speed tests, and get normal speeds, but when I ping my router or other sites, such as Google.com, Ill have random spikes of up to 400ms. It will be a stable 1ms when I ping my router, but will randomly spike to ~400ms at random intervals. Any help is appreciated. I can supply any screenshots if necessary.

    System:

    Mobo: Gigabtye GA-A320M-S2H

    RAM: 2xDDR4 8GB

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X

    Storage: 1 HDD and 1 SSD (Windows is on SSD)

    GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070

    OS: Windows 10

    Problem

    While playing online games, my ping will randomly
    spike up    . In this time, my computer is effectively offline as I can't do anything online (use websites, discord calls etc). In games with built-in ping counters, it commonly reads 10,000 or more ping. After about 10 seconds, the ping will return to normal.
    The ping spikes get less common the longer my computer is on to the point they barely happen. They only start if I play an online game. I have been unable to find a fix that works for the current version of Windows 10.
