Windows 10: Ping Spikes and Latency

I've been having a lot of ping spikes lately every 2 seconds it would spike when i would be playing a game and its getting really annoying to even do work with i go into a zoom call or google meet and it keeps freezing when the teacher is trying to explain important information and i cant take i after that it would go to normal then would do it again every time i've been looking online forever looking for solutions and fixes nothing worked i specifically tried in command prompt "netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled=no interface="name of your wireless network here" " and that didnt work at all as we speak my internet starts to fluctuate and i cant deal with this anymore i tried replacing my wifi piece it aint work i factory reset my pc it still didn't work i even tried to get my isp and it didn't even work.

Hello JOHNLEIBNITZER, I am Andrew an independent advisor. What did you ping to get this latency? Is your network wired or wireless?

Latency can come from MANY sources, even outside your house out of your control. The internet provider could have a busy network and cause this latency. We can do some a few things in your control to help but may not improve the latency if its out of your control.
46ms ping is not all that bad actually. For example, my home network is 48ms at this time when pinging google.com.

Open the command prompt and enter ping google.com check the results. To try to help you can type ipconfig /flushdns in the command. Unplug the power from the router and your ISPs modem to reboot them. Then ping google.com again.

If you see no improvement as I said it could very well be out of your control what is causing the latency.

Ping Spikes

Recently, I have discovered that I am receiving ping spikes from 200-1000 every 10 seconds or so when playing games, causing me to rubberband. However, I usually receive around 20ms in between ping spike intervals. I am using an ethernet cable that is connected
'Wi-fi Booster', which is connected to my router downstairs. I have tried multiple solutions in an attempt to fix this issue such as:

• Checking if my network adapters are outdated
• Troubleshooting my network adapters
• Changing my default DNS server to 1.1.1.1 (gives lower ping than 8.8.8.8)
• Disabling the feature where my PC would usually download updates from other computers
• Disabling OneDrive sync in Policy Group Editor
