    Ping spiking to 2500-3000 on Command Prompt


    HelloEver since I got my pc, I've been having massive ping spikes. It will be a steady 5 ping then spike to around 3000 and it causes my games to freeze a lot. I've tried so many things like un installing then re installing my network adapter, flushing dns, changing the server that I'm pinging, troubleshooting, and even resetting my pc. Nothing has worked and I'm unable to get ethernet. My specs:CPU: Intel Core i5-10400FGPU: GTX 1660 SuperRAM: 16gb DDR4

    High ping spike (2500+) every 10 seconds

    Hello,

    Since one of the last WIndows updates, every 10 seconds my ping will jump from ~20 to over 2500. It is very consistent. I feel like I've tried every suggested solution the internet has to offer, from resetting my router, to a full Windows 10 reinstall/repair. The problem persists.

    I am on wifi via a USB receiver in my desktop. I've been set up this way for over a year and haven't had any issues since the update on Nov 14th (roughly, give or take a day). Since then its been a problem 24/7.

    Please help, I am at a loss.

    Would I just follow the same steps within safe mode after hooking up to the other system?

    Ping Spikes

    Recently, I have discovered that I am receiving ping spikes from 200-1000 every 10 seconds or so when playing games, causing me to rubberband. However, I usually receive around 20ms in between ping spike intervals. I am using an ethernet cable that is connected
    'Wi-fi Booster', which is connected to my router downstairs. I have tried multiple solutions in an attempt to fix this issue such as:

    • Checking if my network adapters are outdated
    • Troubleshooting my network adapters
    • Changing my default DNS server to 1.1.1.1 (gives lower ping than 8.8.8.8)
    • Disabling the feature where my PC would usually download updates from other computers
    • Disabling OneDrive sync in Policy Group Editor

    This is what it typically looks like, however it gets somewhat worse over time:
