Windows 10: Pink photos

Recently, when I upload my photos from my camera they have a pink/brown tint that was not on my camera. My computer has been recently Windows 10 updated and has been tuned up and drivers updated.

Lumia 900: Pink glow in photos issue: solution?

I started this thread in the hopes that solutions to the
pink glow issue in Lumia 900 photographs will be consolidated here. There are several posts both on this forum and elsewhere on the internet concerning this issue.



After reading extensively and experiencing the issue myself: here is my summary of the problem:

• This issue is NOT the same problem as the purple cast to the screen that occurs at low screen brightness settings.
• Not all photographs show this problem.
• The pink glow is manifested by an aura or haze centered on the photograph. It can frequently (but not all the time) be demonstrated by taking a picture of a white wall or a newspaper under any lighting condition.
• The pink glow has the characteristic of a nearly circular radial gradient of a pink or purplish color superimposed on an otherwise correct photograph, centered on the image and extending approximate 60% to the short side of the photo. See

• Sometimes the pink glow shows on the screen before the photo is shot but does not appear in the photo itself.
• Third party camera apps also exhibit the pink glow. For instance Microsoft Photosynth will show the glow in some pictures of a sequence but not others, so that the completed panorama exhibits several pink glows in different places on the final stitched
  image. See

• There is no apparent correlation between the pink glow and any camera settings.
• The pink glow is more likely to occur on "quick" photos, that is images that are shot "in an hurry". Slow and steady selection of the shot with a finger on the screen frequently suppresses the pink glow in the final photo.
• The pink glow may be in more photos than you think. High contrast color photos in daylight with complicated subjects tend to obscure the pink glow, though careful inspection of the image will confirm its presence.

I hope that a solution to this issue can be found. Since apparently a significant number of Lumia 900 phones exhibit this problem, exchanging the phone to correct the issue becomes logistically problematic, esp. for those of us who obtained the phone via
the internet.

win 10 update leaves vertical pink line on screen

today i applied latest win 10 update and now i have a vertical pink line on screen, it remains on every screen. i have tried these fixes

Step 1: I suggest you to run SFC scan,
System File Checkeris a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the display drivers and check.

Steps to Update the Display Adapter driver.

• Press Windows key + Xkey when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right on the Display Adapter and click on
  Update driver software

BUT i still have the line on screen.
