Windows 10: Pinned apps not showing

It shows blank in my taskbar and nothing happen when you open the apps. When I hover the mouse in my taskbar I can see the name of the application I pinned but when I clicked them there is no function and it will not open. I have Windows 10 and this is not issue before. I dont know what happen I just installed adobe programs to view PDF files and it came from reliable site. I dont think it should cause trouble. I need help.

How to pin app shortcut to desk top?

I suggest you to follow below steps to change pin the apps on the desktop screen and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to perform the below steps to add the apps on desktop.

• Click on the “Start button” and locate the App that you want to pin to Desktop.
• Right click on the “App” and click on “More options”.
• Then click on “Open File location” and right click on the app, click on “Send to” option.
• Then select “Desktop (Create shortcut)”.
• Go to “Desktop” and check whether the app is located or not.

Or Step 2: To add shortcuts to the desktop

• Press and hold or right-click the desktop, tap or click New, and then tap or click Shortcut.
• Enter the location of the item or tap or click Browse to find the item in File Explorer.

Pinning .msc Items to "Start".

I just typed gpedit.msc into the search box and when it showed in the results
rightclick/ pin to start

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Thanks Josey Wales,

I can pin and unpin People contacts to the taskbar without problems, but these contacts will still show up on the "Pin suggested" list. It's this list I want to clear, because some contacts or double and some are dummy contacts. It's not that big of a deal, but it's rather annoying to have them suggested to me.
