Windows 10: Pinning a folder to task bar as an additional toolbar. Why was this feature removed?

In windows 10, a user could pin a folder to task bar and then access the folder and the files withing like a drop down. Without opening the folder and double clicking multiple times within sub-folders, user could access a particular file. This feature does not exist in Windows 11. There was a workaround to pin to quick access, but it is not at all the same as windows 11.

Please let us know, what happens when you try to pin the folder to task bar?

I suggest you follow the below steps and check if it works:

Create a toolbar for the folder:

• 
  Right-click on the Taskbar.
  
• 
  Click on Toolbars and on
  New toolbar.
  
• 
  Browse to the folder and click Select
  Folder.
  

If the issue still persists, try to copy the folder into different and follow the above steps.

Clear "Pin suggested" list in People Bar

Does anybody know how to clear the "Pin suggested" list on the "People bar"?

Contacts are added to the "Pin suggested" list once you've pinned and unpinned them. But there seems to be no obvious way to remove them from that list.

After playing around with this feature and pinning and unpinning many dummy contacts, it's rather annoying to see them in the "Pin suggested" list when you click on the "My People" icon in the taskbar.

 

how to successfully pin files to the task bar

I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?
