Windows 10: Pioneer BDR-XD07B not working

    Pioneer BDR-XD07B not working


    I recently bought a new Pioneer BDR-XD07B and it isn't showing up on my desktop. I tried opening the device manager and it says the device is running fine but when I open file explorer to find the drive under my computer it isn't there. It appeared briefly and I attempted to install some software with it only for a pathway not found error to pop up. I tried the drive on my surface pro and it worked just fine. I am trying to use it on a Surface Studio, what could be the problem and how do I fix it?

    Franklin - Were you able to get your BDR-208 working in Win 10? I just upgraded from 7 Pro to 10 Pro a few days ago and my Pioneer BDR-208 isn't found by Win 10 in the Devices list and now won't work. My older Pioneer drive, a BDR-205, is found by Win
    10 and is working. I downloaded the Win 10 ISO and burned it to a DVD before doing the upgrade and if I put that disc in the BDR-208 and restart the computer it loads and Win 10 wants to start the upgrade again (which I kill by pressing the reset button).
    So the system bios finds the drive, just not Win 10.

    Pioneer BDR-XD07B not working

    Win 10 Anniversary update and Pioneer BDR-208D

    The Anniversary update changed the driver for my Pioneer Bluray Pioneer BDR-208D. It is now shon in properties only as a DVD drive. How can I get it to work as a Bluray again? The driver update says it has the latest driver!
