Windows 10: Pioneer DVD-RW 09A Driver

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500-19x laptop. Recently, I have been unable to use the DVD-RW drive and am told that the driver is missing. When I run Troubleshooting this has not resolved the problem. How can I get the drive to work i.e. do I need to download a driver to get it working again and where do I get this driver?

DVD rw driver

I installed DVDRW drive in hp probook that didn't have one a refurbished laptop. So it didn't come with drivers for the DVD rw CD drive player. Windows restart driver finder so on can't open it get it to work there's no dvdrw CD drive listed anywhere in
Windows pc my computer this pc so on I know the system. At HP support it scanned for drivers showed I need DVD CD driver download charge is 9.95. Will this start the DVD rw drive even though the download is for a DVD CD drive. Should I do the download?

 

Pioneer DVD-RW DVRT11RS and Windows 10

Since installing Windows 10 on my ASUS Laptop, the Pioneer DVD-RW DVRT11RS will not work. It spins a little bit when a CD is placed into it but then a message comes up saying there is no disk installed in the player.

I made certain all the software updates for the device were up to date and the device properties tab says this device is working properly.

I brought the machine to the local Windows store here in Sarasota, FL, who couldn't get to the bottom of it either. He turned it over to a Senior Tech, who after running quite a few testes and diagnostics, determined that Panasonic needed to update their
drivers for this device so it would work for Windows 10 on the ASUS motherboard.

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are much appreciated.

DVD rw driver

In that case, I think it's not worth to pay such 9.95 for only a driver which is not sure to be helpful. Due to your description, maybe the DVDRW drive you got is probably incapable for your HP probook, I checked the ebay.com, a brand new Slim Portable
USB 2.0 Ultra External DVD-RW CD-RW Burner Writer Drive For PC MAC only cost 13.49. So I suggest you buy a new one instead of struggle with the old one.
