Windows 10: Pirated win 10 os to genuine

Hello. guys need help desperately. So I have a pirated OS on my laptop after it broke down and had it repaired. What do I need to do to to have a genuine OS, can I just activate my pirated OS with a genuine product key or do I really need to buy a genuine windows 10 OS? Please need your advice

want to upgrade from pirated win 8.1 pro to genuine win 10 home

I have pirated win 8.1 pro installed, but I eagerly want to install genuine win10 home on my laptop. I have a bunch of other important softwares installed in the pirated os. Can I buy genuine win10 home
and upgrade it directly without using clean install, preserving the settings and installed softwares ?

From Genuine to Pirated and Back to Genuine

Windows 10 Home on that PC is genuine and will remain that way.

No need to buy anything , you could have just used the Win 10 install media with the Win 7 Home COA key.
The Win 7 install media does not reference the pirate key used to download (from MS I assume), and should be OK.

 

Pirated windows to genuine windows 10

We know that windows 10 upgrade is offered to both genuine and pirated windows (7 8 & 8.1) uaers but genuine users will receive genuune windows and non genuine will receive non genuine windows10.but some pirated users have received genuine copy of windows
10.is it legal for them to use it??
