Windows 10: Pixma MP287 and Pixma G2010 setup fail.

I bought a new printer Canon Pixma G2010. I installed the drivers and software on my Notebook Lenovo without any problems.

On my Desktop computer the setup fails all the way, and I can't figure it out myself.
When I connect the printer and turn it on, Win 10 is setting up the device. But, I still can't print anything. Troubleshooting didn't bring any results either.

Same issue I got with the Pixma MP287 printer as well.

So, the question is:

Do I miss something I should do before installing all the stuff on my PC?

Do I need specific additional files to be able to install the drivers and programs on my Desktop computer?


Any helpful and detailed solutions would be very welcome.

Steps to install the downloaded software and driver for windows :

1. Once the download is complete and you are ready to install the files, click Open Folder, and then click the downloaded file. The file name ends in exe.
2. You can accept the default location to save the file. Click Next, and then wait while the installer extracts the files to prepare for installation on your computer or laptop.
3. NOTE: If you closed the Download Complete screen, browse to the folder where you saved the exe file and then doble click ..
4. When the Install Wizard starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Steps to uninstall the drivers from your computer or laptop :

1. Open Control Panel, then click unistall a program
2. Double click on the printer you want to unistall, and then click yes
3. When the end of the uninstall wizard, click Finish.

Did you receive only a modem - or was it a modem combined with a router? The latter is known as a 'gateway.'

A modem's only job is to connect you to the internet. That wouldn't have anything to do with your printer.

The router is what establishes your network. If you got a gateway - which includes a router - then all you need to do is to re-connect the PIXMA to your network. Follow the same steps you followed when you set up the PIXMA for the first time.

AT&T wouldn't do it for you because your printer isn't their responsibility. But, no worries! Dig out your PIXMA user guide - or find it on Canon's website - and setup the printer just like you did the first time.

Canon PIXMA iP2500 Printer

Is there any drivers I can use for this?
