Windows 10: Plain text paste stopped working since recent Windows update.

Plain text paste does not work for me anymore. It is caused by a recent windows update in June 2024.Using CTRL+ALT+V in MS Word offers the menu option of plain text, but it incorrectly pastes formatted text anyway.Pasting into Notepad should always paste with no formatting and the notepad default font, but that does not work anymore, and it paste formatted text with emojis and various fonts.Microsoft must fix this!

Office 365 (2016) will only Copy and Paste as Plain Text

The other listed answers are the better initial troubleshooting steps. However, in my case, a remote agent (in this case Kaseya) was being used the access the computer. For some reason on connections to this particular computer, it would cause the keyboard to only paste in plain text, and only for the duration of the session.

Posting as the answer due to:
1. Confirmation that there was a clipboard conflict between applications
2. The conflicting program has been found.

 

Plain Text

How can I change to plain text in my email. I do not want to alter the default, merely to be able to use plain text occasionally. The back arrows are no longer visible. I use BT/Yahoo and my new laptop has Microsoft Mail. Any suggestions gratefully
received!
