Windows 10: Planning to add a NVme M.2 SSD in my laptop and want to migrate my windows 11 from HDD to SSD

Hello, about 18 months ago I purchased a HP 15s laptop which came with preinstalled windows 10 and also with free upgrade to windows 11 and I chose its HDD variant, however few days ago I accidently damaged my HDD and it started making some loud weird noises, sometimes it doesn't even works properly so now I am planning to add a NVme M.2 SSD in my computer and using HDD as a secondary storage so that I don't loose my windows if my HDD got corrupt and also SSD with increase my laptop speed. I want to migrate my windows 11 from HDD to SSD but I don't know how to do it and if it is possible then

cloning sata ssd to m.2 nvme

Hi so i'm planning on building a new pc and my main storage drive on it will be an m.2 nvme and i want to clone my current pc's main sata ssd with my windows install on it to the new pc, I already know how to clone sata ssd to m.2 nvme and keep all my old files and keep windows but i'm wondering if there will be any hardware problems since my new pc will have a completely different motherboard, cpu and gpu, if there is any hardware problems is there anyway to get around it? or would i just have to install windows by itself on the new m.2 nvme and then afterward copy all the files except windows from the old ssd

 

What is the Maximum capacity for M.2 NVMe ssd I can use

Aspire E5-576 Laptop
MS Windows 10 Home 64-Bit (Japanese)

In my laptop there is an option to install M.2 NVMe ssd.

In the market there are M.2 NVMe ssd with various capacity (GB/TB). How do I know what is the maximum capacity for my laptop. My present Hard drive (not SSD) is showing empty space of 324 GB.

Any advice/suggestions/help in this regard will be much appreciated.

Install Win 11 to external M.2 SSD via laptop

Hello everyone, I purchased a new NVMe M.2 1TB SSD and my old 512gb SSD is in the laptop. I have a SSD reader by which I can connect the new SSD externally to the laptop. The new SSD is clean and I need to install Win 11 on that so that I can replace my laptop SSD with the new one. Can someone guide me through the steps for the same?

I have 2 SSDs, one in the laptop and one connected externally via the reader. Can it be done with these two options or do we need an additional device for the installation.
