With more than 35 million players, the Rainbow Six Siege community is growing bigger by the day. If you haven’t yet experienced the tense, tactical gameplay of Siege, you’re in luck. All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to try out the full Rainbow Six Siege experience for free beginning Thursday, August 16 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, until Sunday, August 19 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

During that time, players will have access to all the content available in the Standard Edition of the game, including every map and mode for PvP online play, as well as the PvE mode, Terrorist Hunt. Along with the free weekend, Xbox One players who decide to purchase Rainbow Six Siegebetween August 16 and August 27 can save 50% on the Starter, Standard, Advanced Editions and 60% on the Gold and Complete Editions. Xbox Live Gold members who participate in the free weekend and decide to purchase the game will see all of their progress carry over.

If you’re looking for tips to improve, make sure to tune into the Six Major Paris tournament to see the best pro players from around the world compete in Europe’s largest Rainbow Six Siege competition ever. The tournament will take place from August 13 to August 19 and broadcast on Mixer | Interactive Livestreaming.

In addition to high-level gameplay, the Six Major Paris will fully reveal Year 3 Season 3, Operation Grim Sky. The new season will feature two new Operators, an American Attacker, and a British Defender, as well as a completely reworked Hereford Base map. Operation Grim Sky launches on September 4, so the free weekend is the perfect time to jump in and get acquainted with all that Siege has to offer before the new season shakes things up.

Rainbow Six Siege‘s tactical, squad-driven shooter matches are tense, merciless cat-and-mouse games, where communication and quick wits are key for survival. If you’re an Xbox Live Gold member who’s been looking for a good opportunity to jump into the thick of it, you’ll have a chance to play Rainbow Six Siege for free this weekend.

Starting Thursday, August 24 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and running until Sunday, August 27 at 11:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll be able to download Rainbow Six Siege and play everything it has to offer, from its hair-trigger 5v5 multiplayer matches to its intense co-op Terrorist Hunt mode. All the maps and modes will be available during the free period, and you’ll have the chance to unlock all of Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operators as you earn Renown through battle. As a bonus, Rainbow Six Siege will be available for a 50% discount from the Xbox Store from August 24 to September 4 if you want to keep playing after this weekend. If you choose to buy the game later, all your earned achievements and progress made will be here when you’re ready to get back into the fight.

The trial period is a perfect opportunity to start honing your skills and earning Renown ahead of the currently targeted September 5 launch of Operation Blood Orchid, which will add a new Hong Kong map, new customization items, and three new Operators – two from Hong Kong’s SDU, and a third from Poland’s GROM – to the mix. The new Operators will be available to Season Pass owners immediately while non-Season Pass owners will have to wait seven days. The new map will be available to all players upon release.

Rainbow Six Siege is stronger now than it’s ever been. After nearly two years of updates, tweaks, and expansions, its tactical attackers vs. defenders matches have been honed into a fast, focused experience that continues to grow and improve. Now is the perfect time to jump in, and this weekend you can play Rainbow Six Siege for free on Xbox One.

Open to all Xbox Live Gold members, the free weekend begins at Thursday, November 16 at 12:00 a.m. PT and runs until Monday, November 20 at 12:00 a.m. PT. During that period, you’ll have access to everything the game’s standard edition has to offer, for free. That means every map and every mode, as well as the ability to unlock and customize any of the game’s 34 Operators.

Your progress will be saved after the free weekend is over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to buy the full game later. The free weekend ends just before the debut of Operation White Noise, Season 4 of Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 2 content. Operation White Noise adds three new Operators, who will be unlocked at launch to Season Pass holders. Following the seven-day early access period for Season Pass holders, the content will be available to everyone to purchase using Renown or R6 Credits. The new map, a vertigo-inducing observation tower above Seoul’s skyline, will be free for all at launch.
