During the free weekend, you’ll be able to play every mode that Siege offers, including the newcomer playlist, where you can learn the multiplayer ropes by playing online with other relatively new players. The playlist is one of several new features the Rainbow Six Siege team have added to make the game more welcoming and accessible, without sacrificing any of the tension and lethality that make it so thrilling. One of the latest additions is Reverse Friendly Fire, designed to punish players for intentionally killing their teammates while still acknowledging that, in the heat of battle, accidents happen.

With more than 35 million players, the Rainbow Six Siege community is growing bigger by the day. If you haven’t yet experienced the tense, tactical gameplay of Siege, you’re in luck. All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to try out the full Rainbow Six Siege experience for free beginning Thursday, August 16 at 12:01 a.m. PDT, until Sunday, August 19 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

During that time, players will have access to all the content available in the Standard Edition of the game, including every map and mode for PvP online play, as well as the PvE mode, Terrorist Hunt. Rainbow Six Siege‘s tactical, squad-driven shooter matches are tense, merciless cat-and-mouse games, where communication and quick wits are key for survival. If you’re an Xbox Live Gold member who’s been looking for a good opportunity to jump into the thick of it, you’ll have a chance to play Rainbow Six Siege for free this weekend.

Starting Thursday, August 24 at 12:01 a.m. PDT and running until Sunday, August 27 at 11:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll be able to download Rainbow Six Siege and play everything it has to offer, from its hair-trigger 5v5 multiplayer matches to its intense co-op Terrorist Hunt mode. Rainbow Six Siege is stronger now than it’s ever been. After nearly two years of updates, tweaks, and expansions, its tactical attackers vs. defenders matches have been honed into a fast, focused experience that continues to grow and improve. Now is the perfect time to jump in, and this weekend you can play Rainbow Six Siege for free on Xbox One.

Open to all Xbox Live Gold members, the free weekend begins at Thursday, November 16 at 12:00 a.m. PT and runs until Monday, November 20 at 12:00 a.m. PT. During that period, you’ll have access to everything the game’s standard edition has to offer, for free. That means every map and every mode, as well as the ability to unlock and customize any of the game’s 34 Operators.

Your progress will be saved after the free weekend is over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to buy the full game later. But you can pick it up at a hefty discount during the trial period.
