Windows 10: Please allow users to move the TaskBar in Windows 11 to Top, Left, Right or Bottom as preferred

This functionality was available in W10 but seems to have been removed in W11. Please could this be engineered back in for those users who prefer the taskbar somewhere other than on the bottom of the screen.

Windows 11 - moving Taskbar to right,left or top

Since 2021, the question of how to move the taskbar to the top, right or left, as was the case with Windows 10, has been asked several times. Initially, this was still possible with a change in Regedit.
In the meantime, this has apparently also been prohibited, as the value is reset after the necessary restart. External software is now available to make this possible again.

Does Microsoft think that this is the solution: ignoring customer wishes? The result is that users will get the idea of installing any third-party software, which could open the door to malware.

Hope that this is what you are after and that it helps you greatly!!!!

As it has been noted you are very limited with the taskbar. In Windows 10 it can go Top, Bottom. Left or Right unlike Windows 11 its either centre or to the left! Therefore I prefer mine at the top and I can have it to the left or centre... As you can see....

I understand you have a concern regarding the space on the left side of your Windows 11 taskbar.

I recommend you move the start menu and the icons back to left, to do that please follow bellow steps:

1. Right-click on the Taskbar and open “Taskbar settings“.

2. After that, click on “Taskbar behaviors” to expand the menu.

3. Next, in the “Taskbar alignment” drop-down menu, choose “Left”.

4. That's it. Now, the Taskbar icons will move to the left on your Windows 11 PC.
