Windows 10: Please assist, audio jack on my PC is outputting low quality sound.

I noticed this a month and half ago and I am not sure if its because of an update. My PC is outputting low quality sound via the audio jack whenever I plug in my earphones or aux cable the sound is soo terrible, low bass, muffled sound like when you have cheap earphones. Thing is, my earphones are fine because the work properly with my other devices and they used to work fine with the PC till a month and a half ago. I do not know what to do, audio drivers are up to date so I stuck, the PC is a year and some months old, I'm just confused now.

Audio on headphones is very low quality when there are more then 1 software with audio output

Hi,

I have na issue where audio is of very quality on my headphones when I have more than 1 software with audio output running (e.g. Spotify and Android Emulator)

My headphones are Sony WH-CH510 and I'm sure it's not a problem with headphones.

While using Windows 10, there used to be same low quality sound issue on my headphones in same conditions. But, on Windows 10, in taskbar corner, in volume section I was able to select between speakers and 2 options for headphones - 1 had quality (normal) sound while the other had same low quality sound. In Windows 11 I don't have that options, I can only choose either speakers or headphones.

Anytime anything activates the mic (Discord, Skype, Webex, the recording tab in the sound part of the control panel) the audio quality in my headset is very low quality.

To Reproduce:

1. Play music of choice
   
2. Press the windows key and type sound
   
3. Click the Recording tab. Music will change to low quality
   
4. Click the Playback tab your music should sound normal
   
5. Rip hair out in frustration
   

 

Question about my PC without sound, Plz assist

Hi all,

I just finished formatting my PC, the computer is soundless now, and I found that the "Audio inputs and outputs" in the device manager has no Realtek audio, my PC can only detect the sound signal via HDMI from my LED monitor speaker, but not the external speaker (the green output jack on the rear panel of motherboard).

I am sure I plugged tightly the external speaker to the green jack, reinstalled the latest Realtek sound driver, tried another external speaker but still seems motherboard cannot detect any plugging from green jack...

For this scenario, is it possible that's hardware problem of green jack? Anybody can tell me what happened?
